minimal surfaces

a seminar focused on the unique properties of minimal surfaces and investigating their ability to connect humans on a variety of scales, the intention of the design was to create connection between two people at the scale of a wearable scultpture, a furniture-scale object, and an inhabitable structure. using grasshopper and rhino, fabric surfaces were digitally simulated, panelized, laser cut, and assembled in a week. later featured in a short film by Pap Magazine in September 2019, by Silvia Rocchino, Elisabeth Herzog, and Marziah Zad.
